About Ros
Ros has been working with people in a variety of different professions over the last 30 years. Brought up in the middle of England, Ros moved to London where she trained as a chef, moving into catering management. After some years she moved back to the Midlands, living in community, and working in a training centre with an emphasis on personal development. Ros moved to Scotland in 1983, to work in Pitlochry, in a centre for people in need of respite. In the mid 80s Ros came to Edinburgh University, achieving an Honours degree in Divinity. Staying in the Edinburgh area, she worked for eighteen years in the social care field, particularly with homeless people who are among the most excluded from our society.
Ros is now a full time massage practitioner and tutor. She also works in partnership with the NHS in providing some complementary health and relaxation sessions for groups. Her massage training was with the School of Holistic Therapy in Edinburgh with whom she worked as an accredited MTI tutor in massage and Anatomy. With Lynn, Ros currently provides various training and supervision sessions paritcuarly aimed at newly qualified therapists and also intorductory courses for those interested in learning more about massage. Ros is a member of the NHS Directory of Complementary and Alternative Practitioners and registered with the M.T.I. and the Complementary and Natural Health Care Council (CNHC) Her work is professionally supervised and she works within the guidelines and code of ethics of the M.T.I. As a tutor in massage and anatomy and physiology, she is registered with the Massage Training Institute and is a member of the Institute for Learning (IFL)
Since qualifying, she has undertaken training in associated therapies, including Indian head massage, Tibetan reflexology, Reiki, Hot Stones Massage, On Site Massage, Soft Tissue Release, Advanced Stretching Techniques,Trigger Point therapy and Myofascial Release. She has incorporated these and other techniques into her holistic practice. Committed to continuous professional development to enhance her therapeutic skills, Ros studied Somatic Trauma therapy in 2007. Over the last three years, she has studied with Jing advanced massage training and The Myofascial Release Clinic, UK, in various advanced medical massage techniques for relieving pain. Ros now has learnt effective and powerful techniques for working with the following conditions -

Ros currently practices on Fridays in Silverknowes Edinburgh, on alternate Thursdays at Livingston, and on other days from home in Roslin, Midlothian.
